It’s important to keep your cuticles hydrated because it’s vital to not only your nail growth, but your nail health. While it’s true that it’s bad to cut too much of your cuticle, it’s very important to trim off the dead skin while keeping away from the healthy skin. Cuticles need to be pushed back at least once a week for appearance and to remove any dead skin away from your nails. The more hydrated your nails are, the stronger and healthier your nails will grow. Cuticle oil is also very important because it keeps your nails nicely moisturized and prevents your skin from cracking, especially in the harsh winter months. Happy cuticles equal happy nails!
If you are unfamiliar with how to do these things, it’s great to visit one of our nail techs like Lucy or Jen at Denise and Company Salon. They will push back all the dead cuticles, and make sure to leave all the healthy skin in tact. Coming consistently to a nail tech will improve the appearance and overall health of your nails. While nice looking nails are important, cuticle care is just as, if not more important.
Types of oils that are good for you are: Jojoba oil and Vitamin E oil. You can always take the 100% oils and mix them together and apply at least twice daily.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
Thanks! With Love,
